Empowering the young population of the State to unlock their creative potential through Start-up and Innovation so as to enable them to contribute for sustainable development and inclusive growth towards the realization of Aatmanirbhar Gujarat. Government of Gujarat has developed a policy for providing assistance to Startups/ Innovation. Under this scheme, any individual/ group of individuals having innovative idea/ Concept will be eligible and/ or Universities/ education institutions, Incubation Centre/ PSUs/ R&D Institutions/ Private and other establishments will be eligible as an institution to support and mentor to innovators as approved by Committee. Startups in an economy's technology sectors is an important indicator of technological performance for several reasons. and Innovation so as to enable them to contribute for sustainable development and inclusive growth towards the realization of Aatmanirbhar Gujarat. Government of Gujarat has developed a policy for providing assistance to Startups/ Innovation. Students who wish to submit their innovative ideas for approval under the SSIP (Student Startup and Innovation Policy) must follow the below guidelines:

1. Approach the Respective Department: Students must first discuss their idea with their respective department faculty for initial scrutiny and validation.
2. Departmental Review & HOD Recommendation: The department will evaluate the feasibility and innovation aspect of the idea. If found promising, the Head of Department (HOD) will forward and recommend it to the SSIP Cell.
3. Submit to SSIP Cell: After departmental approval, students must submit a structured proposal, including problem statement, objectives, expected outcomes, and required resources, to the SSIP Cell.
4. Evaluation by SSIP Cell: The submitted ideas will undergo a detailed evaluation by the internal Evaluation Committee for approval and funding eligibility.
5. Adherence to Timelines: Students must ensure timely submission as per the notification and deadlines set by the SSIP Cell.
6. Ethical & Original Work: The submitted idea should be original, innovative, and must not violate any intellectual property rights.
7. Feedback & Re-submission: If an idea is rejected, students can revise and resubmit after addressing the feedback provided by the evaluation committee.
