Food processing sector has become
a catalyst for the development of Indian Agriculture and is of
enormous significance to India's development owing to the vital
linkages and synergies that it promotes between the two pillars of
our economy, industry and agriculture. The centre of excellence in
Food Product development and modelling at A.D. Patel Institute of
Technology is established to help the food industry to develop new
innovative food products and process modelling. Along with new
product development the centre also aims to cater the needs of food
industry in terms of existing process improvement and quality
enhancement of food products.
